Classification (or Taxonomy in biology) is the term used to put living things in different groups based on their shared characteristics; this includes all Animals and Plants.

Having different Classification groups helps scientists to identify and categorise different animals to their respective species. It will also give clues to the origins of new species as they are discovered.

In this workshop, we discuss and display a wide variety of animals from different animal groups whilst giving the students the chance to touch, hold and interact with them.

This is a great introduction for primary school children. We also go into further detail for pupils in secondary school.
